· How to
Why hot and cold?
The oldest habit of the baths, and what a minute in 18 °C water does after the sauna.

Bathers in Budapest have gone from hot water to cold for as long as there have been baths here. The Romans did it, the Ottomans did it, and our regulars do it every morning.
What the heat does
It opens you up: your skin warms, your heart works a little harder and your muscles let go.
What the cold does
A minute in the cold plunge closes everything again. It feels like a jolt for five seconds and like a gift for an hour.
Then rest
The rest between rounds matters as much as the heat. Lie down, close your eyes, and go again when you feel like it.
